Come to Jesus - TSMSS

The first time I heard this song was at my granddaughter’s ballet recital last spring. The soothing melody, simple lyrics, and fluid movements of the dancers moved me to tears. The following weekend I bought the CD and played it over and over again, not knowing how the words would help heal a soon-to-be broken heart.

When my Little Granddaddy passed away during the summer, the last verse of this beautiful song ministered to my soul. I knew he had gone to be with his Shepherd, but his granddaughter was still grieving. On the way home from the hospital, amidst the heartache of my family’s great loss, I couldn’t help but smile at the thoughts of Granddaddy “soaring” into the arms of his Saviour.

"Come To Jesus"

Weak and wounded sinner,

Lost and left to die,
Oh, raise your head for Love is passing by,
Come to Jesus,
Come to Jesus,
Come to Jesus and live.

Now your burden's lifted,
And carried far away,
And precious blood has washed away the stain...
So sing to Jesus,
Sing to Jesus,
Sing to Jesus and live.

And like a newborn baby,
Don't be afraid to crawl,
And remember when you walk sometimes we fall...
So fall on Jesus,
Fall on Jesus,
Fall on Jesus and live.

Sometimes the way is lonely,
And steep and filled with pain,
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain...
Then cry to Jesus,
Cry to Jesus,
Cry to Jesus and live.

Oh,and when the love spills over,
And music fills the night,
And when you can't contain your joy inside...
Then dance for Jesus,
Dance for Jesus,
Dance for Jesus and live.

And with your final heartbeat,
Kiss the world goodbye,
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side...
And fly to Jesus,
Fly to Jesus,
Fly to Jesus and live.

Fly to Jesus,
Fly to Jesus,
Fly to Jesus and live.

Oh, this is one of my favorite soothing worship songs. It comes on K-Love while I am working at my desk (at home) and I find myself stopping my work, raising my hands toward heaven, praising my Lord and tears streaming down my face. It moves me to tears everytime I listen to it and tonight is no different.

My precious daddy and all my grandparents are dancing with the Father right now. One day, we will all take that flight either in death or when the trumphet sounds. Oh, what a glorious day that will be.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.

Happy TSMSS!

This is one of my all time favorite songs ever. And that dance was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I hope they do it again this year!

Oh Karen...This is so moving and I recently downloaded this to comfort me also! Your words filled me with tears & then the beautiful song of COMING TO JESUS...your precious granddaddy...and my loved ones with Jesus! I'm truly blessed by your
choice of this song!

I can only imagine your precious granddaughter's ballet to this &
I sense all of what you described so beautifully. Thank you for calling our sweet Jesus, his Shepherd...I guess that was the clincher for me. And "soaring"...as wings of eagles and "dancing" like a sweet child uninhibited & full of grace...Thank you for your visit & mostly for sharing this from your heart! May you find comfort & joy
today with TSMSS & enjoy your weekend! God bless!

How wonderfully beautiful. I am sorry for the loss of your precious Granddaddy. I experienced that in 2007. We both rejoice in knowing they are with the LORD.

Love you.
