How Much More - TSMSS

During this time of counting our many blessings, one of the greatest blessings is the love of God. Many years ago, Rusty Goodman wrote a song that reflects on the awesomeness of this great love...How Much More...


HOW MUCH MORE

If He knows when a robin, falls from his nest,

And He grieves... when He sees it die;

If He kisses the rose, with the morning mist,

How much more, does He love you and I?

If He cares for the lilies, in an open field,

and caresses each petal with dew,

If He acknowledges a tree, when the wind makes it kneel,

how much more does He love me and you?

If He takes out the tide, turns the desert from it's dry,

And He carves out the rivers to sea,

Just to give a little fish, one more place he can swim,

How much more does He love you and me?

If He's prepared a place, for all that has been,

I've been told and I believe that it's true,

He's preparing me a place that I cannot comprehend,

That's how much He really loves me and you.

How much than a fragrant rose, that He gives life in the spring,

Or does He love me less, than the little bird in a nest,

That never sows... yet he soars on the wing,

If He can speak just one word, and calm an angry wind,

And peace be still, can calm a rolling sea,

Then He can speak peace be still, to the storm that's within,

That's how much He really loves me.

I am also thankful we can visit Signs, Miracles, and Wonders to hear more songs about this great love....

Ohhh Karen...Such beautiful lyrics and such a profound message of just how much He really does LOVE us & actually each part of His creation as this accounts but His love for us is so MUCH MORE...I love this song! So much to ponder and indeed count our blessings! Perfect song for the time!

"I pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:16-21).

This is just beautiful...I love the lyrics to this song! I can almost hear the Lord singing it to me. He loves us so very much...created in HIS image! How can we miss knowing the love of the Father? With Thanksgiving so close, I am so thankful for His grace and mercy in my life.

One of the hardest lessons I've had to learn as a daughter of the King (and continue to learn) is allowing God to love me... receiving that love and trying to get my mind and heart around what that love looks like, feels like.

It's been a struggle for me; one I cannot fully explain. The world has offered me plenty of 'less than' loves; perhaps that is where the breakdown comes. God's love cannot compare to any earthly love I've known.

How thankful I am for his tender care and watch over me this night.

This one line "Then He can speak peace be still, to the storm that's within, That's how much He really loves me." sums it up doesn't it? He has done this for me innumerable times - the peace that "passes all understanding"!
