Thankful Thursday – Hallelujah Anyhow

TTButton

Laurie @ Women Taking a Stand is hosting Thankful Thursday for this last Thursday in 2009. She asks the question, “What do you see when you look back over this past year?” She then writes of how our perspective is the key to our answer.

When I first started my blog and chose it’s name, it wasn’t because I just loved the song...or because I am some type of happy go lucky, over the top optimistic, stick my head in the sand, non-realistic dreamer...

Like every other person...whether they lived and died before me, or are living during this season, or are coming in future generations...we all have bad stuff to happen...things we totally do not understand...and we all ask the questions...

Why?

and

Why not?

BUT...

Amidst all this, we ALWAYS have the choice of defeat or victory.

I choose victory...

It may not come in 2010...

It may not come for 10 years...

It may not come until Jesus does...

But I KNOW the One whom I have believed and His is

Always faithful

Ever loving

Without boundaries or measure

Holy and righteous

and always with me...

So I say Hallelujah Anyhow to the trials and tribulations of 2009 cause I know what is coming...victory!

"Thus far has the LORD helped us."

1 Samuel 7:12 NIV

Karen, Thank you for your wonderful posts throughout the year. It is fun to hear from you because we seem to have so much in common. Daddy worked for Atlanta Transit System which became MARTA for over 40 years. Blessings to you and your family.

I liked your message about choosing Victory or Defeat. It is so true.
I don't always do this perfectly, but I hope to choose Victory a lot more often!
