I am going on a little trip...
Not really, just downstairs...to the office
I’ve packed my bags...
Not quite, but I am trying to unpack some things...
I will be gone for a while...
Not for long, but a bit...
I promise to write...
Uhhh, probably not...
Faithful readers, I just wanted to let you know of my brief hiatus from blogging that starts NOW.
Like most of you, I am spinning one plate too many at the moment and before it breaks...I will lay it down on the table...
The Facebook plate has already been stacked in the corner since way before Christmas...but I REALLY LOVE blogging...so I am tenderly placing that plate into a heavily cushioned box for safe keeping...because I WILL spin it again...soon...
But for now, business obligations, family matters, and spiritual renewal are the only plates I have in the air...they require total concentration and absolute consecration in order to spin in the way they are each made to spin...
I will miss visiting each of you, but I’LL BE BACK...
In the meantime, I would like to introduce you to a relative newcomer to blogging...and a relative...to me!
My cousin Melanie has never experienced a loss for words since the day she was born...and why she waited so long to blog, I will never know...but if you pay her a visit, I guarantee she will have something to share that will bless your heart...so go now and introduce yourself to Mel at Closet Full of Critters.
So, see you later...I will be praying for all of you and hope you will remember me and my family in your prayers.
Every time I think of you,
I give thanks to my God.

praying sister.. will miss you, a bunch! Leaving you with this poem... here, and the email reply.. you are in my thoughts, and prayers, dear friend...
God loves to hear the heart of our worship
even in the midst of a stormy night of praise
He loves to hear our sacrifice lifting up His Glory
and He knows, when tears fall from every eye that's raised
He sees beyond the tears that have fallen
and knows the love that is waiting to be released
our God is a God who is all Powerful and Majestic
Yet He comes to calm with His whisper, even the angriest of life's seas
So I will lift my eyes unto the greenest pastures
where my Abba waits with gentle whispers of my name
I know in the darkest night that seems to surround me
I will always know where to leave my praise, just the same
yes, I praise Jesus in the morning hours awakening,
and I will praise in even the longest of the black of night
and in the midst of turmoil in the steps to my healing
I know Jesus says, I am never out of His faithful sight
Yes, even in the midst of a stormy night of praising
where my teary eyes are lifted to the Throne above
I am comforted by the peace of my Lord and Savior
as my heart is touched by the Heavenly Father's gentle love
Enjoy your time away. You're a blessing.
Karen, will definitly miss you! Certainly understand the hiatus. Love todo that with life sometimes. Will look forward to your return. Blessings and prayers as you go off and replenish!
I totally understand. I've been told that as we getting older life slows down, I'm not sure I agree. So,take your time and soak in the presence of God.
I'm praying for you friend.
I so understand and I have been thinking of putting FB off to the side. I just so love the blog and will continue here. There are so many thing tugging at our skirt tails and then we get bogged down..... Spend time for you and I will be glad to see you return.....
Blessings Karen!!! This departure post is SO GOOD! I love every part!
Your entire blog has always been such an inspiration and I so love visiting here! This is priceless...from the photo to your precious words! I have a tear in my eye and don't know if it's from laughter or the sadness of not having you around. But I will wait! I love what Karen shared!!! Ditto...I will miss you but you are so wise in choosing the "plates" you have and packing us away tenderly for now. If your sweet cousin is anything like you, that too was wise to place the plate to her...thank you & God's best as you renew and lay down & rise up with Him, your family and your business obligations! I pray that they will not overtax you but make each of your days a Hallelujah Anyhow!
Miss you already...(sigh) Peggy
Aw, I'll miss you Karen! But I totally get the hiatus from blogging. Thinking of doing that myself...
Will miss you, Karen...I always enjoy reading your blogs. You are such an inspiration.. Thanks for sending your blogging friends to Melanie... As her mother, I too, love reading her blogs...and, you are right --- she's never at a loss for words! Will be praying for you and the family...Love you!
You have made a good, wise decision (putting family matters first) and yes, I will pray for you.
Because of your caring and ministering heart, I know God will still be using you in other's lives. Blog or no blog!
I will miss you! But I know you'll be back when the time is right.
I will miss you!
Karen you will be missed! So hurry back...I will say "Thank you" I think...hahaha...that was a colorful introduction! I love you cousin and inspiration! Enjoy your break and I will be praying for you.
take gentle care Karen...you are a blessing. Sarah
I am sad to miss ya! But, happy to know you are taking time as the Lord directs your steps. I have been blogging off and on since Sep 2007. I really understand that surrender to the tugging that says "Come away, lay it down, for a while!" Be refreshed, we'll be here when you get back! God bless!
Maria
OH NO! Can I wail loudly that one of my three followers (the only not relative) is leaving blogging. Gasp..*sigh*...gulp...I'm okay...I understand...really! I want the precious plates you have in the air to shine bright! Blessings!!

Your blog is beautiful. Blogging eats up your time. I need to cut back. I also love it. I wish you well. Let us know when you are back. Doylene
I will miss you but I SOOO understand!!! See you when you return dear sister. I take breaks often from blogging to HEAR GOD and to take care of other things. I'll be praying for you. I love you.
I totally understand how those spinning plates take our time and concentration.
I will miss you but trust you'll be back soon.

I surely will miss you, sweet friend. Your blog and your writing are just beautiful.
Take your time, Karen. It happened to me, too. The good thing is that we realized what happened and how to handle them with care.
God is glorified in your decision. :)
Sweet friend...I so get it. I know and understand the need for a break. As God is calling your heart to sit nearby, I pray you come back refreshed with new Word for us! New SONGS for us! (I personally love the songs because they are always some of my favorites!)
