Now all you Northerners may want to skip this post, but we Southern bred gals will understand this completely...
Our state had some snow yesterday and last night. With colder than normal temperatures, it will stick around for a few days instead of melting right away.
Last night my grandkids enjoyed a roaring fire, hot chocolate, and good family time...although they couldn’t “marsh” any marshmallows since the fire came from a fire log...
Anyway, when my 7 year old granddaughter looked out the window this morning, she proclaimed,
“Oh my goodness, Antarctica is here!”
LOL
Enjoy your Friday!
UPDATE
I heard this story second hand. My DIL just gave me the scoop in a comment.
"Actually, (I hope this doesn't spoil it), she said "Manarctica is here!" Which is a name she made up for a Barbie that can throw out popsicles everywhere! I guess like a super hero!? Ha ha! She has her daddy's imagination!"
This just makes it even funnier to me!

Well, we're on a two hour delay over in our neck of the Carolina woods, and nary a flake in sight. Honestly, we'd be done for if it actually did something.
I grew up with winters, so this just gets under my skin. I just got the kids back on the bus this week. Have mercy... this momma is ready for a break!!!!

That's cute! I live in Texas, so know right where you're coming from!

Karen, that was funny :D and her expression priceless!
Enjoy this time,

Hahah! Your grandaughter is a hoot! Gosh, she is just adorable. Isn't it fun being a grandma? Pure bliss...
Enjoy dear one! Blessings!
I love your little granddaughter! She is precious and so bright! And your family time sounds perfect!
I am enjoying the white blanket from inside my warm living room. Hopefully, I won't have to leave my comfort zone of a home until Sunday!

That is hilarious!!! She is adorable!!!
I live in South Texas and snow happens every 50 years or so. Yay!
Thanks for dropping by my blog today and leaving a comment. I have just been looking over yours. I like it!! I would like to encourage you to write for Spiritual Sundays, a blog my wife and a relative do each weekend. You may just want to read some of the posts this week---or you may want to just jump write in an share something. http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/
It's funny either way...antartica or manartica...what'll they think of next? Glad you got some of the pretty snow too!
That is too cute and so is she! I've heard that you guys got snow. Even in Florida, they are having very cold temps according to my dad who lives there. It's still pretty warm here in Phoenix; high 60's. I kind of miss the snow ...sometimes.
Thanks for your encouraging comment the other day on Heart Choices, Karen. I really appreciated it.
Love,
Debbie
Too cute, friend.... loved this little story.
We've been out in it a good bit of today as well.
Though we only got a couple of inches, it's the icy consistency that's keeping everyone home bound here. There's alot of ice hidden in that snow...
Hope you all are having a blast!!
She is just adorable, Karen. She does have an imagination. That probably means she is real smart, like my grandson. I know the children get so excited to play in the snow and be out of school. Blessings ~
I think the definition of joy is in there somewhere.
That was so cute! I totally understand the thrill of GA snow!
Enjoy!!
