He Keeps the Key

Nataly_ring_holding_keys

I seriously believe that my family holds the world's record for losing keys...then finding them...then losing them again...and so on, and so on...NOT NAMING ANY NAMES!!

door

The keys to the doorways in our future are held by God alone...

Aren’t you glad?

The devotion for January 10 in Streams of the Desert includes this poem:

Is there some problem

in your life to solve,

Some passage seeming full of mystery ?

God knows,

who brings the hidden things to light.

He keeps the key.

Is there some door closed

by the Father's hand

Which widely opened

you had hoped to see ?

Trust God and wait

for when He shuts the door

He keeps the key.

Is there some earnest prayer

unanswered yet,

Or answered NOT as you had

thought 'twould be ?

God will make clear

His purpose by and by.

He keeps the key.

Have patience with your God,

your patient God,

All wise,all knowing,

no long tarrier He,

And of the door

of all thy future life

He keeps the key.

Unfailing comfort,

sweet and blessed rest,

To know of every door

He keeps the key.

That He at last when

just He sees tis best,

Will give it thee.

Blessings Karen...OK, guess who lost the key to her rental home today? But thank God, I found it under my van before someone else did.

Yes, so thankful God holds the key!!!
And thankful that He keeps the key.

Love the poem from Streams of the Desert! Not sure He should trust giving the key to me!

Love, hugs & happy Sunday! EnJOY your week ahead!

HI Karen! This is a great one...I lose my keys a lot...actually, it's not about losing, as much as forgetting where I placed them. LOL!
I love the sweet reminder that the Lord God Almighty holds the Key to our lives..as Jesus is the Key! Wooooo!

Thanks for stopping by my blog....
I'm glad "I can trust God who holds the keys." It is definitely a process of letting go.
I once heard trusting God is like locking yourself in the trunk of your car and letting Him drive. I can't sit in the passenger seat because I would be tempted to grab the wheel.
Blessings,
Tammy

Love this devotion. What comfort!

Thank you. I've missed my time to visit friends online. I hope to be by more often in 2010. Seeking God for a plan about my time online. I can get out of balance easily.

Sending love your way today!
Hugs,

Tiffany

Awesome devotion.
I am thankful that when I seem to loose more than my keys...He always has things well in His hands!

You are a blessing! I've thought of you several times over the last couple of days.

Praying for your family. Love you!

Karen, that losing the keys must just run in the family. Mom bought us the stretchy cords in hopes of solving the problem...lol. I'm just thankful that God holds the keys to my life. He's the only "keeper" to trust in.

Girlfriend you are speaking to me in the post!!! God has been telling me over and over that He is in control and not me. I know this. Why is it so hard? Thanks for reminder!
