The Climb

The day has been long

The road was hard

So tired and weary

Ready for rest

Surely...

Around the bend is a level path

Smooth and clear

Rock free

Don’t want to stumble

But...

mountain start

It rises

The incline grows steeper

And high above the clouds

The mountain looms

Oh, no...

I don’t want to go there...

My sweet child...

Remember...

I created the mountain...

It trembles at the sight of Me...

But you don’t have to be afraid...

I have made a Way...

Whether around, through, or over this mountain...

You are not alone...

But for my sheep that climb to the top...

The mountains saw You and trembled;

I love the thought of the mountain trembling at the sight of God; makes it doable, does it not?

Climbing and believing in the green grass that belongs to me once I arrive!

I love this!!! The mountain trembling makes me think of the lyrics from How Great Is Our God... "The darkness tries to hie. It trembles at His voice. Trembles at His voice..." I LOVE that!!! All of nature trembles & instantly obeys Him! Hope you had a truly blessed Easter!

Blessings Karen...Awww (sigh) so very beautiful! Reminds me of "Hinds' Feet on High Places"... I still love the view from the mountains or looking to the mountains from below but the CLIMB or the winding up and down... through... still NO WAY...even with the promise of the "green grass"...
though I know HE calls me to rest in that place...safe... I grow weary just thinking about it. And struggle when I know He knows best!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you.
