Tell those rich in this world's wealth
to quit being so full of themselves
and so obsessed with money,
which is here today and gone tomorrow.
Tell them to go after God,
who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—
to do good,
to be rich in helping others,
to be extravagantly generous.
If they do that,
they'll build a treasury that will last,
gaining life that is truly life.

Love this verse and word-picture! If only I would really go after God the way I chase after other things . . . blessing upon blessing from Him is what I really want. Have a beautiful WFW.
Good post, Karen. Our sermon at church last week was based on Matthew 6 - "do not store up treasures on earth..."
So many (myself included) have tried to store up treasures here, and in today's economic times, many are suffering.
This is a timely message we can all benefit from hearing.
Blessings,
Joan

I love this verse and picture, Karen. I'm crazy about red, which you would not know from my blog because lately it's all about turquoise with me, but this is a beautiful picture.
This verse is so true. I love the Word of God.
Oh yes! Tell them that the love of God will fill the deepest most inner part of their hearts that long for something that their money cannot buy! Tell them......

Blessings Karen...Ohhh such wisdom in the Word of God!!! How precious your photo! How good The Message brings us to the heart of the matter and how vividly you depicted "Life that is truly Life!" Going after God with all the gusto...all His riches far outweigh anything of this world! How timely with "taxes" due... (lol) no I meant in the times we are living! May you gain the riches and treasures that last!
