Thankful Thursday - A Crust in the Corner

There it was...wedged in the corner of the bedroom floor...a small piece of golden brown crust...pizza crust...

Miss Muffin, the Maltese, had hidden away the tasty morsel for a later time...a better time...a leaner time...

I am thankful I don't have to stockpile

God’s compassion and mercy for leaner times.

His mercies are brand new each and every day...and we don’t have to hoard the love from today, to sustain us tomorrow...

No dry crust in the corners of our lives..only fresh grace in abundance!

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is His faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning.

Amen that God will provide for me daily.

At least you have a "cat?" to blame for the lingering crust. I don't have a cat... just kids, so when I find stray food, there are no feline excuses to use. Only laziness. Perhaps my "crusts" are an indication of my laziness as well! Only choice morsels from the King. Why do I settle for less?

PS: They came to take away my 13 year old couches yesterday... I should have looked beneath them prior to removal... have mercy. A veritable banquet beneath them!

Two days ago I shared Lamentations 3:22 with my daughter, and she was greatly encouraged by it. What a wonderful thought to begin each day with :)
