Thankful Thursday – A Choice

Have you ever said a prayer and lifted your eyes heavenward...

And all you could see was...

The Ceiling?

ceiling 1

Has there ever been a time when you were sinking down and in reaching out...

All you could feel was...

The Emptiness?

hand reaching

Were you ever on the carousel of life when it started spinning faster and faster...

And all you wanted to do was...

Jump Off?

carousel

Your are not alone, my friend...

I have scrutinized my ceiling searching for answers only to find a lone cobweb...my hand has grabbed hold of air...and vertigo from the constant spinning has caused my head to swim and my feet to stumble...

But I have a choice...you have a choice...

Are we going to believe the one that would like nothing better than to see us throw our hands up in despair and accept defeat?

or

Are we going to believe the One that gave His best to see us throw our hands up in joy and shout for victory?

Feelings...can be fickle...

Truth...can be trusted...

bible

Let us all be thankful today that we can...

Know that truth that sets us free...

Trust in His unfailing promises...

and

Look beyond...

the ceiling

the emptiness

and the craziness

and see

Him.

When I read this: "Feelings...can be fickle... Truth...can be trusted..." I thought, "That was MMMmmm good!" Just what I needed at this very moment. God has been telling me, "Tammi, Trust Me!! Do You trust Me with all of your heart??" Wow...I guess He just "added a P.S." on this early Thursday morning through your post. Thanks sooo much! :)

Oh, this is wonderful. You're right. Feelings CANNOT be trusted, but God's Word can.

Thank you for the reminder!

Love,
Beth

I am going to believe the One
Who gave His best for me! To
quote you, dear friend...
Hallelujah anyhow! Whatever
the enemy tries to bring my
way, I make that choice to
praise God and believe His Word
of truth in all my circumstances!
Peace,
Sandy

Yes. It is a choice. I am smiling because my post today as well was about looking to Jesus when you feel you are falling to pieces and letting Him make you whole. I loved this post. So important to stand on Truth not our feelings. Blessings!

Hi Karen, Loved the truth in this and the fact that in spite of not seeing what is happening behind the scenes we still hold onto His hand...know what I mean! If we trust our feelings instead of Him I'd be in a bunch of trouble.
Blessings to you this day dear friend.
Hugs, Noreen
