Thankful Thursday – Joy

TTButton with Iris @ Grace Alone

Just imagine...

Can you picture it in your mind?

The one thing...

That one single moment on this earth that brought you so much joy...

You thought your heart would burst from the love bubbling inside...

Saying “I do” to your beloved...

Holding that precious little person that your love created...

Welcoming a child of the heart into your family...

Recognizing that God in heaven loves you so much His Son died for you...

Watching a wayward child of God finally come home...

Experiencing the healing touch and delivering power of the Lord’s hand...

Such great joys...

Now multiply them by the largest number you know...to the infinite power...

Without measure...

Boundless...

That’s just the smallest taste of the wonder that awaits those who love the Lord...

Joy unspeakable...

Full of glory...

Just imagine...

Thank you, Lord, for this amazing promise...

But it is just as the Scriptures say,

"What God has planned

for people who love him

is more than eyes have seen

or ears have heard.

It has never even

entered our minds!"

1 Corinthians 2:9 CEV

What a wonderful reminder on this Thankful Thursday. I spent this past Labor Day weekend in FL attending my niece's wedding. I felt joy to see her so happy.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

I wonder what "FULL" joy will feel like? I think you've done a good job of giving it some meaning. It truly is unfathomable ~ what a great promise to be thankful for and look forward to all at the same time!

What a beautiful post. I have times of joy, but I admit, it is not a permanent thing all the time. Life gets in the way. I so look forward to living in JOY all the time!

My husband and I went to the funeral today of an old friend who lived on earth for 87 years, but it is such JOY to know he is experiencing great JOY with Jesus now. Your post today was very timely, Karen; thank you.

After experiencing both my parents' passing, these promises/verse mean more than ever to me now. As I grow older, hymns, Bible verses...they begin to take on new depth of meaning. God bless you Karen.

This reminds me of a Bible verse I'm learning.

`I am the vine, you are the branches. If any man remain in me, and I in him, he will bare much fruit. Apart from Me you can do nothing.` John 15:5 (NIV)
