Hope Assured – Thankful Thursday

It is dark...

Flashlight in hand, I make my way through the pitch-black house...

As I enter the bathroom, my fingers automatically flip the light switch...

Have you ever done that?

Knowing the power is off, yet still trying to turn on the light...

False hope...in a dead current

This world is dark...

Sword in hand, we make our way guided by the illumination of His love...

As we enter the battlefield, our hands automatically raise to praise the Source of all life...

Do we do that?

Knowing His power is in us, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us...

Assured hope...real hope...unfailing hope...

In a risen Savior...

His light will never go out...

“I am the light of the world.
If you follow me,
you won’t have to walk in darkness,
because you will have the light
that leads to life.”

AMEN...Yes, Karen...I'm so thankful for the HOPE of HIS LIGHT in the darkness of this world, in the storms, and the power outages...His power is ALL we need...HOPE ASSURED
indeed!!! His Name is Jesus! His Light leads to LIFE...eternal life and an abundant life as we focus on the Light~ the illumination of His love ~ Our Risen Savior! Powerful message and words of truth! Glory!

Hallelujah! Let's flip our Light switch ON today and light someone else's path with our little glow or afterglow of being in His Light and Presence... because He LIGHTens our loads and carries our burdens and is the Lamp unto our feet!

Thank you Karen... for reminding be to be thankful for His Light!

So true, Karen - His light will never fade.

I can't tell you the number of times I've reached for a light switch when I know the power is off. I'm so thankful for The Light!

Blessings,
Joan

What a great lesson. I have done that! Turned on the light, knowing full well that the power is off!

My mom used to use the example of a light switch to talk to me about faith. She used to say, when you flip the switch you have faith that the light will turn on. That's how your faith should be in the Lord.

Believe that He is the Source of Light - and just flip the switch.

A different slant - but the same idea. The Light of the world will never go out - we just have to believe, and follow - in faith.

GOD BLESS!
