So what's in your Christmas stocking?
My daughter-in-law has a free for all tag at Thoughts, Ponderings , and Musings. This is the first one I have done on a blog, but fortunately I had answered simlar questions to an email tag sent by my Aunt a few weeks ago. So I simply had to copy and paste a few times and I was done. Still being a novice at blogging and having very few readers, I am not tagging anyone else this time. If someone wants to play that has not already done so on Carrie's blog, please feel free to leave a post link in the comments section.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? gift bags
2. Real tree or Artificial? artificial
3. When do you put up the tree? When the kids were young, we put it up the day after Thanksgiving. Now it is done when I have time…usually the first week or so of Christmas (although it is not up yet this year)
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually the day after Christmas
5. Do you like eggnog? no...rich, hot chocolate is my favorite
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Too many to choose only one
7. Hardest person to buy for? Husband
8. Easiest person to buy for? Grandkids
9. Do you have a nativity scene? several
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? mail
11. What happened to #11?
12. Favorite Christmas Movies? A Christmas Carol, White Christmas, Little Drummer Boy
13. When do you start shopping? Later than I should....I haven't bought anything yet, except Christmas cards (gasp!!)
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? no
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Red velvet cake made with my Grandmother’s recipe
16. Lights on the tree? clear
17. Favorite Christmas songs? "Oh Holy Night" and "Glorious Impossible"
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Whatever works so we can be with our kids and see the rest of the family
19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? yes
20. Angel on the tree top or star? bow
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Looks like it will be Christmas evening this year. We usually do it whichever day around the 25th that everyone can get together.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Usually the time crunch really bothers me…so much to do in too little time can make me forget the real reason for Christmas…I am trying to simplify this year and focus on things that really matter…
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Burgundy/mauve/silver/gold
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Something different every year…..I love to try new recipes
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? For each and every one of my family to truly experience the love, joy, and peace that only come from really knowing the Lord

Beautifully done. I especially love your answer to the last one. It is hard to say those kinds of things without sounding "cliche" but you actually accomplished that!
Nicely done. I read Carrie's last night, and was planning to do my own - I enjoy reading other people's traditions and plans. It is just fun to see what other people do!
Many of your answers would be the same as mine. I especially agree with #25. I haven't thought of a red velvet cake (#15) in years. It was one of my mom's favorite.
