My dear daughter-in-law has started a Sunday meme over at Thoughts, Ponderings, Musings... Please visit Carrie to get the basics for posting on God STOP Sunday and to share in some wonderful testimonies about our amazing Father God.
My God STOP moment for this week is really a very simple one, but it made an impression on a certain someone that really needs to be reminded of how much God cares about His children...whether it concerns big things or small...He cares about it all.
There are two kinds of people...those who misplace things and those who misplace a lot of things. My DH is a member of the second type, in very good standing and tops in his class. The number one "thing" in this category is his keys. These elusive keys are never in the same place twice and there is always a frantic scavenger hunt at the last minute to find the "prize". No one was winning this game on Thursday and after searching everywhere, it seemed all hope was lost.
I was alone at my desk so I bowed my head and said a very simple prayer to God asking for help with my DH's rising blood pressure due to the missing keys. As I raised my head at the end of "in Jesus' name", I knew where the keys were. No mighty vision, no booming voice, just the simple knowledge of where a simple item was located in a house full of not so simple hiding places. After placing them in DH's hand, he said "Thank you...where in the world did you find them?" I said, "Don't thank me, but thank God because He's the one who answered my prayer."
Now this isn't a big time, burning bush, life saving event, but it was a small incident that made it possible to show God's glory for even the "little" things...like lost keys.

That is awesome! And exactly the kind of way that God will just stop by on a regular day and just remind us that YES, HE is still here...and listening...and answering...no matter the "bigness" or "smallness" or our need.
Hi there, Blessings to you this Sunday. I wanted to thank you for your comments about my post at SUM~you blessed me and I can see I'll become a regular here at your blog. Love the prayers for keys-we serve such an incredible God! My oldest daughter's name is Carrie-isn't God good!!!
Have a joyful day.

I would hate to count the times I had to pray for my keys.....I am a misplacer from WAY back! Guess I will never change so God is always on the watch for my keys!
I love that story. The little things, the little ways God shows his love, those are the things I appreciate the most. It is just so nice to be reminded that He is involved in our day to day life.
Blessings!
Got your card. YOU will NEVER know what it meant to me. I have read it over several times now. It sits propped on my lamp on my desk at home. Right where I am sitting now.
THANK you isn't quite enough. BUT. Thank you.
Love you dearly.
I just love it when that happens. I'll never forget when my son couldn't find his wallet--and he was quite upset. He said it was NOT in his car. But I prayed, and when I looked in his car, I put my hand under the drivers seat and immediately felt the square leather.
My son was so surprised.
I told him I prayed.
(He is away from the Lord).
I enjoyed the post!
