Twenty nine years ago, on Mother's Day 1980, God blessed me with the best gift ever! At 9:36 that Sunday morning, an 11 pound 8 ounce baby boy was born. My first born son arrived on my first Mother's Day! How neat is that!
He was the size of the average 3 month old and his Daddy and Granddaddies all strutted around proudly. My mom told me that it was very easy to tell whenever he cried in the hospital nursery because while the others babies would cry little high pitched weeee...weeee...weeee, my big bouncing boy would cry at an octave lower ...WAAA...WAAA...WAAAA...
Corey is very extroverted and even as a child would talk and play with anyone, young or old. He has always been a deep thinker and would be quietly playing by himself and then say something that was so profound that one would forget he was a child. He especially enjoyed...
Super Heroes
He-Man
Star Wars
Thundercats
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Charades and
Producing, directing, and starring in his own shows...
His deep pondering thoughts...
His repertoire of sarcastic one liners that have Leno and Letterman fearful...
His natural ability to carry on a conversation with anyone about anything...is it any surprise he is a fantastic salesman?God has moved in Corey's life and directed him and his family to a church home where they are all actively involved in several ministries. He and his wife are raising their children to know and love the Lord and to honor and respect Him in every aspect of their lives.
The Lord has been generous with blessings on my son and has given him...
A kind and generous nature...
A genuine concern for others...
A loving and unselfish attitude...
An obedient and sacrificing spirit...
So, Happy Birthday, my dear, sweet Corey!
I love you so very much and you will always treasure you as the the very best Mother's Day gift! I am very proud of you but never as proud as I am at the amazing man/son/husband/father/brother/grandson/friend you have become today. May the Lord richly bless you!

God is good...through it all. He is good!
I so enjoyed the pictures of Corey growing up. I can see both Katie and Noah, so that was fun to watch.
Congratulations on raising such a wonderful man of God. We are so glad to have him as part of our "family" - I don't think Andy would have made it without him as a friend.
Loved the slide show. You can really see him in Katie and Noah.
We are so blessed to have the honor of calling him our son in law.
