Tupperware and Tears

Do you remember the Tupperware burp? Years ago, when Tupperware parties were all the rage, the famous airtight seal created by burping the lid was a major selling point for this product. Excess air inside the container would be released with the famous thumb on the lid trick maneuver.

Release...

Escape...

Freedom...

Today in a small country church, another type of freedom was celebrated.

The release of a soul...

The escape from an earthly shell...

Freedom to rise...

The Amplified Bible says:

But unto you who revere and

worshipfully fear My name
shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with
healing in His wings and His beams,
and you shall go forth
and gambol like calves [released]

from the stall
and leap for joy.
Malachi 4:2

This child of God left for glory the Saturday before Mother's Day while her family sang "Amazing Grace." She was contained in that earthly body and was just waiting to be released.

The Son came...

Healing came...

And she ran to join her Saviour...leaping with joy!

What a beautiful song "What the Lord has Done in Me". I haven't heard it before. I love the Celtic feel to it.

Yes, we have so much hope for the future! Death does not have a lasting hold...we slip through its grasp. And then...spend forever and ever with our precious Savior and God.

Beautiful words, Karen. Yes, "Let the weak say, 'I am strong, . . . ' for death is swallowed up in victory.

This is one of my favorites from Hillsong.

One's release to heaven brings sadness to others, and the Lord understands our grief. But focusing on the wonderful freedom of the beloved one eases the darkness.

In Christ's Love,

Andrea
