Iris at Grace Alone is hosting Thankful Thursday this month and has chosen “Trials” as the topic for this week.
Everyone goes through trials, and we can look at them in two ways:
Through the eyes of despondency and defeat, or
Through the eyes of faith and victory...
The first set of eyes walks in isolation and separation from God,
and
The second set walks in communion and unity with God...
So we have a choice:
Despair and turn trials to tears, or
Trust and turn trials to triumph...
I CHOSE TRIUMPH!
Through it all,
Remember the Lord
Is by your side
And will never
Leave or forsake you.
So be thankful in all things...even trials!

I love how you wrote about the choice we have in trials. I chose triumph too Karen.
Blessings,

I like that you posted about our choice in these matters. We may not be able to change our circumstances directly. But, we do have a choice in how we deal with them.
Amen, beautifully said.
That was our topic last night at ladies bible study!!
Thanks for sharing this.
Oh Karen, this hit it on the head for me:
So we have a choice:
Despair and turn trials to tears, or
Trust and turn trials to triumph...
I CHOSE TRIUMPH!

I am choosing Triumph with you! Great post!
Your post has got me thinking about our choice when confronted with defeat/despair....
Your words are mixing in with what I'm reading in the Bible.

Blessings Karen...I choose TRIUMPH and TRUST in HIM! Thank you for such a thoughtful post on TRIALS! I love your acrostic and it's perfect to remind us! I can recall many times when my trials became tears or even despair...I'm thankful for your insights and this prompt to choose TRIUMPH! You are so smart! Must be that early morning writing (12:25am?)
So thankful for you and that Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us...though there have been times I thought He had!!! Bless you my friend and thanks for all your visits. They so encourage me!
