Thankful Thursday – Hopes and Assurances

jospeh-2

Jesus is always there to help us when we fall and are overwhelmed.

Joseph-3

In every desert, every dry time, there is always an oasis to give us rest. His name is Jesus Christ!

Pictures and captions by Joseph Lorren

Today I am thankful for hopes and assurances.

I have great hopes in this upcoming generation that they will carry on the great commission that our Lord Jesus Christ gave all of us. Technology is providing many different methods of getting the message of salvation across in ways my generation never dreamed of using...

I have great hopes that this generation will be ready to go wherever and whenever the Lord directs them. I hope they will not be afraid to get their hands dirty to help others in need or be hesitant to embrace diversities with compassion and grace.

My assurances are from the Word...

“for He [God] Himself has said,

I will not in any way

fail you nor give you up

nor leave you without support.

[I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not

in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake

nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)!

[Assuredly not!]”

Hebrews 13:5 AMP

“Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

And the burning sand and the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water;”

Isaiah 35:4-7 AMP

Karen - this is a great post. Yes - our hope is in Jesus.

Like you, I have great hope for this upcoming generation. There is so much new technology and communication methods today - enabling us to "go into all the world and preach the gospel."

Amen & blessings Karen and Joseph once more on a powerful post with words and illustrations! I so agree!

I am so thankful for this generation of youth and that God has anointed and gifted ones like Joseph to bring His news in new ways!

I don't have an answer for my hopes and assurances...more than my post today...Jesus SAVES...and I'm so thankful for salvation! Salvation belongs to the Lord! I belong to the Lord Joseph and you belong to the Lord! Great hope and inspiration! Great Word from Amplified!!! This goes well with Leslie's "God Calling" today!

Thanks Karen for blessing us with such wonderful assurances and HOPE!
When I am weak (and I am) than I am strong in Jesus!or better said He is my strength. Thankful for you!
Thankful for faithful visits that encourage me. Thankful that God is speaking to me and through friends like you!

Love & peace ~ Peggy (((hugs)))

I am so excited that my hubby, I and our youngest go to the Atlanta projects to feed and play with the homeless children. These children live a life I praise God we don't. (But, for the Grace of God)

There is a warehouse that has been turned into a place for us to meet with the children. Some of the children we'll never see again. I just pray we make an impact on their precious lives.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing Heb. 13:5 in the AMP version - I love that scripture!

Also, I adore that drawing of the oasis!

I also appreciate your faith in the next generation. So often people don't express faith in them, they doubt them!

I like the way you said "not afraid to get our hands dirty." That speaks volumes!

That artwork is beautiful! I love the sporadic use of colors in the middle of the black and white...

Love the pictures and love the message of hope, especially for this generation. Your words mean more to me today than you know. God does. You think He set it up? ;)

Thx for sharing.

We're in the mountains this weekend and just commented to my husband, "I love my older boys." Of course, I love all my children, but my college sons makes me so very proud. Yes, I do have hope and assurance for the generation that's coming up behind me. In many ways, they are further along in their faith than I was at their age.

Also so very thankful for the hope and assurance of God's Word. How I wish I was better at defaulting to his truth before crumbling in my fear.

Thanks for your prayers and kindness to me this week. I cherish your witness to me.
