Thankful Thursday – Hope Everlasting

TTButton

with Laurie @ Women Taking a Stand

Today let’s give thanks for a precious commodity that the world is desperately seeking...

HOPE

As believers, we have an abundant supply given to us by the only source of REAL HOPE...

We need to share it...

Recently, a friend posted a quote on Facebook that is one of my favorites...

“When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God.” Charles L. Allen

There is a post here about this very thing. After commenting about my love of this quote, my friend responded...

“I love that in God's eyes...no one is hopeless.”

Can I get an amen?

WE HAVE HOPE...

For the unsaved spouse...

the wayward child...

the sister that is sick...

the brother that is unemployed...

the friend whose heart is broken...

the soul that is in despair and believe they just can not go on anymore...

While the world only offers temporary respite for just a glimpse of hope...

Our Father supplies rivers and oceans of hope everlasting...

Hope so full – we are ready to burst with expectation.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

I pray that God,

the source of hope,

will fill you completely

with joy and peace

because you trust in him.

Then you will overflow

with confident hope

through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 NLT

Karen, thank you for stopping by and leaving a word of encouragement. Greatly appreciated, sister.

I smiled when I read on this latest post of yours, "Can I get an amen?" Yes, you can. And after reading these comments, I know you heard it.

Oh, to see others as God sees them...not as they are but who they are in Christ, who they CAN be when God is finished with them. To see the hope...to see the hopeful possibilities of a life given over to Him and transformed by Jesus. Amen to this post! Blessings sister!

I went to the Hallmark Store yesterday. My SIL has a birthday today and I wanted to get her something special. You see, she and I and my brother (she is married to one of my brothers) have been estranged for several years now, and I cannot tell you what even started it. Anyway, I went into the store yesterday and hanging on the wall at the back was a beautiful ceramic plaque. It is made to look old and the color is my favorite sage and sandied to look old and worn. In the mold is the word HOPE..... It touched my heart. You see there is always HOPE.. and when my precious little Dad was laying in the hospital bed those last 4 days, the Lord reunited me with my brother Larry and my SIL. We laughed and cried those 4 days and vowed to never let anything come between us again.
Our HOPE is in Christ, and without HOPE our faith has nothing to believe for....

Faith is the evidence of things hoped for.......Hold fast to the hope that lies within you........

Thanks for the precious comment on my blog... You have no idea what you gals mean to me...
