WFW – You’ve Stayed Long Enough

WFWlogo @ The Internet Cafe

sinia copy

Back at Horeb,

God, our God,

spoke to us:

"You've stayed long enough at this mountain.

On your way now.

Get moving.

Head for the Amorite hills, wherever people are living in the Arabah, the mountains, the foothills, the Negev, the seashore—the Canaanite country and the Lebanon all the way to the big river, the Euphrates.

Look, I've given you this land.

Now go in and take it.

It's the land God promised to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their children after them."

Deuteronomy 1:6 MSG

Good post, Karen. Often I have stayed too long in the "desert" and failed to enter the fullness of His grace. Oh the joys that await us there.

Blessings,
Joan

Karen, this is so good...so perfect for where I'm standing...waiting to hear from the Lord on some things...waiting to hear, "GO." This confirms that the answer will come...in HIS time!

Thank you dear for sharing this one! Loved it!

peace,
lori

I agree with this verse, of course. We do stay too long at that mountain, sometimes

ooo Coool...blessings Karen... I really love how you did this and the beautiful photo you used!

However, the verse really speaks to me and I'm thanking you for the encouragement and blessing this is.
Love what you chose out of this verse to speak to me(us)!

So as of today, I have stayed long enough at the mountain of 'sorrow, grief'. And I'm on my way now (to His healing). I'm moving...ahead.
Now that's my 2010 theme...moving ahead... all the way to the big river (that was yesterday's watering was about... Living Water)!

I'm going in and taking back what the enemy took and holding on to the promises!

You see how you water me and care for the "ferns", I would never have looked in Deuteronomy and here you are with a great WORD for me today!

Thanks Karen!
Peace & (((hugs))) as you enJOY a WORD FILLED WEDNESDAY... hoping God fills you with a special WORD, too!
Peggy

God lets us stay in one place for a little while because He knows our needs. But He will always nudge us forward because He knows growth is so important.

I so relate to this! The process down the mountain is still difficult but at least the promise land is in sight!

Isn't it funny how much we love the comfort of sameness? So much so that we're willing to camp out in a place that isn't as good as the one God longs to lead us to.

What a great word. Thank you.
