“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!”
I screeched the question into the phone...and he repeated his remark...
With that dreaded “T” word...
“We just experienced our first Kansas Tornado.”
Are you kidding me? I grew up with Dorothy and Toto...
My loved ones were away from home...
In an RV of all things...
Parked in the middle of an open field with other campers...
They are fine...very minor damage to the awning is all...
Other campers had heavier damage but no injuries that we know of right now...
Thank you, Lord, for protection and shelter...
In times of troubles and trials...and tornados...we can trust in You...our Strong and Mighty Tower....

Phew...! Great reason to be thankful once again! God is good!
He IS a strong and mighty Tower! Glad your loved ones were ok. I'm also glad we can run to Him when a storm is approaching!
Oh yes, I remember the days of tornado watches when we lived in the Dallas Texas area years ago. So scary! Praise the Lord for His protection.
Hi Karen,
It's good to know that God is a shelter in the time of storm. Thankful that loved ones are safe and well.
Blessings and peace.

Praising God with you that your loved ones are safe.
Thankful your loved ones are safe and sound.. GOD is so good!
I don't like that dreaded "T" word myself..that comes to our state to visit with us often..
Blessings,
~Lynn
Karen, I've never experienced a tornado. But thank the Lord for His protection. He is so good.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
Thankful that you are okay. In 2004, my son and I saw a tornado headed right toward us that veered to the south, so our home was spared. Very scary experience!
Thank God you were all safe. Praising Him with you.
Amen thank you lord for protecting my friend, and pray that you will keep them safe and out of harms way this Tornado season, hugs Barbara
Love this story of protection!
Karen, I'm so thankful that there weren't serious injuries or damage. We experienced our first and hopefully only T here in northern Colorado two years ago-what a duesy it was. He is our strong Tower...love that verse.
Hugs and blessings, Noreen
Yikes Karen..that is super scary. Thank God no one was hurt...
WOW...Praise God for His Strong Tower and Protection... and blessings Karen,
Whew...did this just happen? No wonder that you ran to the Strong Tower in the prayer you shared last week. I grew up in Tornado land too
(two lifted over me)but with more than an RV for Shelter!
I'm so thankful that they have the Shelter and Refuge of the Almighty as well and you, too! Good news that
no injuries reported. I do so dread the "T's" but now it's Hurricane and flooding with mudslides following. Still not sure which is worse but always thankful for God as my Protector.
Thank you for sharing God's saving grace & strength & power of protection.(Cute play on T's for TT)
Love & prayers,
Peggy
Praise God for His protection!
Tornado's are not fun!! Being from Oklahoma we get quite a few too.
I am so glad that they weren't hurt and the RV wasn't damaged more than it was. Very lucky! God had His hand over them!
So glad that you are OK! I experienced a tornado when I was 'very' young and we lived in a trailor park. Knocked our trailor over and 'aways' away from the foundation. Very, very lucky but still scary as a young child esp.
God was watching over us both wasn't he?! :-)
Have a Great Friday and a Wonderful weekend!
HUGS,
Coreen
Wow, Karen. I live in Hurricane alley so I understand how scary storms can be. I just posted about Psalm 91 and it applies here.
Blessings,
Tammy
Whoa!! Karen..
Say What????
So glad everyone is okay. Freaky...
Hugging you. I hope you never get a call like that again. Love, Lynn
WoW, God is good isn't he? I'm just doin' my little happy dance here that everyone is safe and sound.
You have an incredible weekend and may God bless it!!! :o)
In "times of troubles and trials ... and tornadoes" - Well said! Learning to trust God in the midst of life's tornadoes, real or metaphorical, that is our call! Great post!
This is my first time here. It's nice to "meet" you.
Karen, glad all is well. God protected. Amen.
Ugh...now tornado is truly a major "t" word. So glad everyone is safe.
Yes, He is our mighty strong Tower! Love it!!
I am thankful you are all safe and sound. He is mighty to save and faithful to keep us from even the wildest storms, tornadoes etc...
Psalm 148:8: "Fire and hail, snow and vapour, stormy wind fulfilling his word"! Hallelujah anyhow!
Amen and Amen!!!! He is indeed our strong and mighty TOWER! Love this Karen!!! I'm so thankful to the LORD for His covering!
Praying for you with love dear sister.
OM Gosh the T word,,we do deal with those concerns ourselves here in Iowa...Its very different from growing up in So. Cal..
Of course we had no warning or season for earth quakes...
Praise God that you and yours are alright!!!
May all good things of God happen for you in your new week!!!
Hugs&Love~~~ Dena

www.madmomma07.blogspot.com
came back to say hi...☺
I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad dad was okay
Praise the Lord everyone is ok.
Oh dear!! Thank goodness everyone's OK. It's funny, people think that those of us who live in California get earthquakes all the time. Not often, and they are a little scary. BUT, I find the idea of a tornado FAR MORE frightening!
But praise God for His mighty protection!
GOD BLESS!
Thank God that your loved ones
were not hurt! We experienced
a small tornado here a few
years ago. Apparently it was
quite destructive very close
to us but we only had high
winds and rain.
Hugs,
Sandy
So glad thing are ok!!

Just trying to come by an catch up on my blog friends.. Sounds like you were sheltered in the arms of God.. I am still in such shock of losing Mom just 72 days after Dad and I know that getting out in the blog world will help me with my mind...... Please say a prayer for me now and then....... There are days that I just crumble.....
