Thankful Thursday – The “T” Word

TTButton

with Iris @ Grace Alone

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!”

I screeched the question into the phone...and he repeated his remark...

With that dreaded “T” word...

“We just experienced our first Kansas Tornado.”

Are you kidding me? I grew up with Dorothy and Toto...

My loved ones were away from home...

In an RV of all things...

Parked in the middle of an open field with other campers...

They are fine...very minor damage to the awning is all...

Other campers had heavier damage but no injuries that we know of right now...

Thank you, Lord, for protection and shelter...

In times of troubles and trials...and tornados...we can trust in You...our Strong and Mighty Tower....

He IS a strong and mighty Tower! Glad your loved ones were ok. I'm also glad we can run to Him when a storm is approaching!

Oh yes, I remember the days of tornado watches when we lived in the Dallas Texas area years ago. So scary! Praise the Lord for His protection.

Thankful that you are okay. In 2004, my son and I saw a tornado headed right toward us that veered to the south, so our home was spared. Very scary experience!

Karen, I'm so thankful that there weren't serious injuries or damage. We experienced our first and hopefully only T here in northern Colorado two years ago-what a duesy it was. He is our strong Tower...love that verse.

WOW...Praise God for His Strong Tower and Protection... and blessings Karen,

Whew...did this just happen? No wonder that you ran to the Strong Tower in the prayer you shared last week. I grew up in Tornado land too
(two lifted over me)but with more than an RV for Shelter!

I'm so thankful that they have the Shelter and Refuge of the Almighty as well and you, too! Good news that
no injuries reported. I do so dread the "T's" but now it's Hurricane and flooding with mudslides following. Still not sure which is worse but always thankful for God as my Protector.

Thank you for sharing God's saving grace & strength & power of protection.(Cute play on T's for TT)

Love & prayers,
Peggy

Tornado's are not fun!! Being from Oklahoma we get quite a few too.

I am so glad that they weren't hurt and the RV wasn't damaged more than it was. Very lucky! God had His hand over them!

So glad that you are OK! I experienced a tornado when I was 'very' young and we lived in a trailor park. Knocked our trailor over and 'aways' away from the foundation. Very, very lucky but still scary as a young child esp.

God was watching over us both wasn't he?! :-)

Have a Great Friday and a Wonderful weekend!

HUGS,
Coreen

Oh dear!! Thank goodness everyone's OK. It's funny, people think that those of us who live in California get earthquakes all the time. Not often, and they are a little scary. BUT, I find the idea of a tornado FAR MORE frightening!

But praise God for His mighty protection!

GOD BLESS!

Thank God that your loved ones
were not hurt! We experienced
a small tornado here a few
years ago. Apparently it was
quite destructive very close
to us but we only had high
winds and rain.
