Falling Fire

The challenge is set

Contenders:

450 pretenders and 1 authentic

Venue:

Mt Carmel

Provisions:

Two bulls, two altars

The objective:

An answer by fire

The many pray and shout, dance and scream...all day...for nothing...no response...not a sound

no fire...

The one rebuilds the altar with 12 stones...douses the lot with 12 jugs of water until it overflows

He prays...

and the troublemaker

believes strong on the God of

Abraham, Isaac, and Israel...

And fire falls on wet and

consumes everything

Thank you, Lord, for your falling fire

We offer ourselves as sacrifices to You

saturated with the Living Water

Standing on the Rock that doesn't fail

Our eyes look up in adoration

Our hands raise up in honor

Our voices lift up in praise

Let Your fire fall

Consume us!

At the time of the evening offering, the prophet Elijah drew near and prayed: “LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant. I have done all these things at your instructions. Answer me, LORD! Answer me so that this people will know that you, LORD, are the real God and that you can change their hearts.” Then the LORD’s fire fell; it consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even licked up the water in the trench!
All the people saw this and fell on their faces. “The LORD is the real God! The LORD is the real God!” they exclaimed.

This is amazing that you posted this today... I was watching the Call (It is a 24 hour prayer gathering that took place on 11-11-11) and this is what someone prophesied that fire would fall on us like Elijah and a Great Awakening would begin in America. They were praying in Detroit, Michigan. These people are praying for 10,000 intercessors in Michigan to begin praying for our country. I feel the fire when I pray at my church every week. God is pouring out his Spirit at my church in Fort Lauderdale. I thank God that He is pouring out the fire that will change our hearts to love Him and others. Bless you dear Karen. We are one in the Spirit!

Hugs,
Tammy

You know what I loved the best about this one? That you referred to Elijah as the "troublemaker" who believed strong on God. :)

Yes, I want to be a troublemaker for the Kingdom of God. I want to ruffle some feathers and stir up some hearts when the Lord's fire burns in me.

GOD BLESS!

Thank you so much for praying for my cousin Michael. I have shared your comment with my Aunt and they are so touched by the outpouring of love and concern for Michael. I did post an update in the comments section of that blog post too. He's going back to UVA this week.
Also....your comments are so sweet on my You Tube channel! Thanks so much for stopping by. It's a pleasure to be used by the Lord to bless others' hearts--like yours!
<3 (that's supposed to be a heart.) ;o)
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Sending love and hugs, and many thanks for your prayers and encouragement!
