His Name will be...Everlasting Father

On rainy days, He stands at the window...
eyes scanning the horizon...waiting...

When the sunlight beams, He walks the yard...
ever watchful for a glimpse of movement...
ears attune to the cry only He can hear...

Ready to take flight even before the call comes

Look!

Do you see Him?

Listen!

Can you hear Him?

He is the One

with eyes tender

and hand extended

arms strong

and love unlimited...

He is the One

who watches...waits...whispers...then runs...

He is the One

who watched when you turned away

He is the One

who waited patiently while you wandered

He is the One

who whispered...it’s time to come home

He is the One

who flew down the road to meet you

just as soon as your eyes glanced towards home...

As your knees hit the ground

and your heart cried out for mercy

He is the One

with grace filled arms wide open

who scooped you up, hugged you closely, and said

I have always loved you...

Welcome home my child!

Everything I have is yours...

Everlasting love

Everlasting joy

Everlasting Father

It’s time to come home...

Emmanuel

Jesus

For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called
Wonderful,
Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.

Many years ago I ran away from God for a while. Then, one day, I ran home. Lo and behold, I was greeted with open arms, a warm embrace, and kisses of affection.

Yes, my Father had been looking for me, waiting for me - and His Love welcomed me as if I'd never left His side.

Emmanuel - Jesus - I am haunted by the beauty of His Name.

I loved this one, Karen. Thank you for sharing.

And if I don't talk to you again beforehand - let me take this chance to wish you and yours a very Merry CHRISTmas!

GOD BLESS!

Yes, Karen! HE IS THE ONE! OUR EVERLASTING FATHER! He is the One for you, for me, for ours, for everyone that returns...
Each of us know a prodigal, each of us have had prodigal moments or years... but He is always waiting with open arms.

Beautifully written from a heart that knows God in all of His roles of Isaiah 9:6.
I'm so thankful that HE IS
Everlasting and all of what He has, He gives...

I should have come here to visit when you wrote me but somehow today was God's perfect timing. I opened my emails and found this from J.O.'s Today's Word: The Father's Anticipation with this exact scripture... opening with these words:
"When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, not only is your eternity secure, but you become a child of the Most High God. You instantly have an Everlasting Father!..."
ending with this prayer and I couldn't have said it any better: Everlasting Father, thank You for loving me today and for always being with me. Help me to understand Your love more so that I may know You better. Let Your love flow through me so that others may see Your goodness and come to know You as their Father also in Jesus’ name. Amen

I love you Karen and your heart writes so tenderly just like the Everlasting Father, perhaps that's His reflection in you... I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as you and as blessed as you bless us and as Merry as children that surround your life. Many blessings and much love and thanks, Peggy

P.S. I didn't know how to link you to the site that's why I shared so much...sorry
