I need lip gloss!
Does anyone have a safety pin?
What time is it?
Are you kidding me?!
All thoughts are focused on one thing – preparation.
In the groom’s room, excited voices are heard as well:
Pass me another chicken finger!
You know you look like PeeWee Herman...
ROCK BAND!
Preparations are done, so they wait...
Then there is another room...
With the sky as a canopy and walls of stone…
laughter fills the air
the Bridegroom is in the midst of preparations
He has been stripped
beaten
whipped
and mocked...
Blood mixes with sweat
as the Bridegroom takes the last steps of His walk of love...
no flower strewn runners
no family pews marked with flowers
no ring bearer because
He bears a tree
the music plays...
tones of hatred and
cadenced cries of
crucify Him!
On a hilltop adorned with thieves and murderers, He waits...
While lightening strobes streak the heavens,
the Bridegroom finishes
what He came to do...
He is ready for His bride.

Wow, amazing post my friend.
Hallelujah anyhow, indeed! Regardless of all we may go through in this life, all the sorrows and woe, Jesus remains our constant focus, our precious, loving Bridegroom.
I love Him so.
Karen, what a great analogy. It amazes me how creative you are!
