I’m Gonna Say It Again...

It is no surprise that several posts on my blog are about "Hallelujah Anyhow." It remains one of my favorite songs, so yesterday when the church choir burst into...

"I believe I'll testify,

God's been good to me..."

I was well pleased, to put it mildly.

Actually...I LOVED IT/SAVORED IT/BASKED IN HIS PRESENCE...

Needless to say, I got a well needed blessing.

There are other posts here and here about why I love this song, but yesterday was special because I had not heard my choir sing in a while.

For several months, I have been visiting my sons' church and enjoying that tremendously. Seeing two of my boys worshipping with music, sitting in a row with nearly ALL of my family there, rejoicing when another son wanted the church to pray for his WHOLE family, and drinking in the Word as Pastor Eric brings new insights to scripture with his special style of preaching has fed my soul each and every time I go there.

But yesterday I decided to go to MY church...and there my Father affirmed that His hand is on the situations in my life. My God KNEW this daughter needed a special Word right now, so my soul FEASTED there...on the anointed music and Pastor Edward's message from the Lord.

My heart was encouraged in knowing...

"Through every test and trial,

I've got the victory"

And I know regardless of what is going on in my life at this moment...

"I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna wait,

Watch God work it out somehow"...

...because He is in control of everything and will take care of it according to His perfect will.

My soul was lifted in knowing...

"My God's never failed me yet"

Sooooo...

"No matter what comes my way I'll lift my voice and say
Hallelujah anyhow..."

Let me tell you, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has nothing on the choir at the Church at Liberty Square...the church choir may be smaller in number, but they make up for it with passion and enthusiasm and are by far MY favorite choir for this favorite song...as of yet, I do not have a recording of them singing this particular song, but the BTC sings it here.

Hallelujah Anyhow indeed!! The Lord has a wonderful way of making it all plain to us.

Love you.
